Our second Christmas as three was wonderful (and I can remember so much more of it than last year when we were rather sleep deprived!).  We had a fun morning in our pyjamas opening presents before we were joined by family for Christmas lunch.  As always, Albert had a wonderful time 🙂

Recently we celebrated Albert’s first birthday.  How is he one already?!  Time flies when you’re having fun.

We had a lovely family party the day before the big day.  I was so excited to make him a cake and decorate the house!  We decided on a yellow theme because he’s such a ray of sunshine, and I went to town with bunting, pom poms and even made him a birthday crown (which he actually wore throughout, miracle!).

He woke up on his birthday in a wonderful mood, intrigued by the big circus tent and pile of presents we’d set out in our room 🙂  Much fun was had opening things and playing with the paper.  His favourite gift was the first thing he opened, a ladybird plate, which he refused to let go of for quite some time!

This has quite easily been the best year of my life, and I know for a fact that it’s the best year of Bertie’s!

It has become tradition to celebrate fake Christmas in November with some of our lovely pals.  A cosy cottage in Shropshire, too much food, a little bit of walking, Christmas films, stretchy pants and lots of laughs.  This was the first time Albie experienced this wonderful world, and despite some teething rage he thoroughly enjoyed all the fairy lights and lovely people (it turns out all he wanted for fake Christmas was his two front teeth!).

We took barely any pictures, we were too busy relaxing and having fun!  Big love to Bee & Liam & Betty, Oli & AJ, Hannah, Ayesha and Neil & Michelle for being so awesome.
